Peter von Karma, previously known as Peter Jefferson, is the second police character played by ArcticAndre on TwitchRP. Peter began his journey as a transfer from Las Venturas and trained to become a trooper in the San Andreas State Police. Peter von Karma served in the Los Santos Police Department as a detective and as the Assistant State Attorney. Peter von Karma now serves as a Magistrate Justice of San Andreas.
History[]
Peter was born to Kevin and May Jefferson on April 9th, 1998 in Los Santos, San Andreas. Having excelled throughout his entire high school career, Peter received several full ride scholarships to many universities across the country. Graduating top of his class, Peter was expect to head to university to study engineering. However, Peter had a different goal in mind.
Peter looked up to his second cousin, Logan Sharky, who was a Sergeant of the Los Santos Police Department. Peter's family being rather close, he always talked to Logan during reunions about his experience in the field. Once he completed high school, Peter was introduced to Seth Kyleson, Captain of the Los Santos Police Department at the time, offering him a job in the department. Excited about the offer, Peter went home to talk to his parents about his new career field, resulting in Peter's parents getting angry that he was going to go do what to them seemed like a terrible and non-fulfilling job. Still wanting to continue his career, Peter signed up for the police academy, and that night, was kicked out and cut off from his family. All he had was Seth and Logan.
Week two of the academy came when Peter was visited by Chief Seth Kyleson, who informed him that Deputy Chief Logan Sharky had passed away in the line of duty. Peter, feeling empty and alone, without family or friends, turned to dedicating his life to the job. Once out of the academy, Peter moved away from Los Santos to Las Venturas.
Experience in Law Enforcement[]
Peter Jefferson moved to Las Venturas and joined the Las Venturas Sheriff's Department as a new recruit. Dedicating himself to the job, Peter slowly grew into a great deputy, being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and opened the Las Venturas Port Authority Division, protecting the waters and transportation systems within Las Venturas as Division Commissioner.
Peter no longer could sustain his career in the Sheriff's Office however, and decided that a new adventure was calling his name: the criminal investigative division of Las Venturas. Leaving his department and division behind after two years of service, Peter Jefferson went undercover, solving the crimes of mass drug and weapon trafficking. After serving his time as a detective, Peter received a call from Seth, offering him a job in the San Andreas State Police Department.
Peter considered the offer for a while, but in the end, decided to take the position, leaving his detective life behind in Las Venturas. Peter moved back to Los Santos in November 2020, becoming a Trooper within the San Andreas State Police Department. April 2021, Peter Jefferson was promoted to Senior Trooper. He obtained his tactical certification and passed his state bar exam, becoming a court certified trooper. Trooper Jefferson also received his co-pilot certification and passed his CID exam in order to achieve his goals of a deputy of the Los Santos Sheriff's Department.
That goal would be soon reached. August 2021, Peter Jefferson was approached by Sheriff Alyse Devereux, approving his transfer request from June. He was officially welcomed in as a Deputy of the Los Santos Sheriff's Department. Lieutenant Seth Kyleson met with him the next day, congratulating him on his promotion to Court Specialist in the State's Attorney Office. Peter was on a roll, obtaining his pursuit vehicle and motorcycle certification in early September and becoming a well known face around San Andreas.
After his promotion to Deputy, Peter Jefferson's at the time boyfriend Maximilian von Karma moved back to Vice City. Maximilian was a Senior Trooper from Vice City who transferred to the San Andreas State Police where he met Peter. Maximilian was offered a job as a Lieutenant of the Major Crimes Division in Vice City. While the long distance relationship began to work, Peter began to realize where his heart is. In October 2021, Peter moved to Vice City, where he works as Sergeant Peter von Karma as the police department's law advisor and detectives' division supervisor.
While working as a detective, Peter was asked to serve deep undercover uncovering a gang in Vice City, The Streetwannabe's. Peter's goal was to successfully get the information on the new weapons trafficking that this rather unknown gang was smuggling in and selling to other gangs in Vice. Peter, over the course of several months, went undercover and successfully got the locations and times of weapons coming in and sent them back to HQ. While setting up last minute bugging on June 4, 2022 in the meeting room of the gang leaders, he was caught and shot by the gang leaders, Peter barely setting off his panic tracker in time. Within minutes as Peter's body was being dragged out of the building into the dumpster behind, the entire building was surrounded by every officer in the city. An ambulance rushed Peter back to the hospital where he pulled a rather slow recovery out of a coma. The Vice City Detectives Division thanked Peter for his service and honorably discharged him while he was in a coma. Peter woke up to no job, but his husband by his side: "I told them to. You're not safe here." Peter knew he was right, but knew his law enforcement career could not end. Max knew Peter wouldn't give up.
As soon as Peter could walk, he ran to the airport, knowing Max is just a few weeks behind him. He flew back to Los Santos and was welcomed back with open arms by Captain Amber Nolan, who Peter trained in SASP. Peter joined the Los Santos Police Department as an Officer 3 and was asked to return to the State Attorney's Office, appointed as the Assistant State Attorney. It didn't take long before Peter von Karma was welcomed into the Detective division by Chief Lou Lightwood and Detective 2 Todd Fungi. In August, Peter was promoted to Detective 1 and was welcomed in as a Field Training Officer and Non-Commissioned Officer for the Los Santos Police Department. In late August, Peter was promoted to Detective 2 and appointed as the Flight Lead for the LSPD.
In November of 2022, Peter resigned from his position of Assistant State Attorney and Los Santos Police Department's Flight Lead.
In March of 2023, Peter was appointed to the position of Magistrate Justice by Chief Justice Piper Noelle-Robinson,

Major Events [Season 1][]
In December 2020, as a young Trooper in the San Andreas State Police, Trooper Peter Jefferson took an interest in The Cleaner serial killer attacks across San Andreas. These attacks usually involved bleach, vacuums, and knives, victims being those who seemed "unclean" to Martha Murtle. Captain Seth Kyleson received a phone call from The Cleaner, wishing to meet with him and him alone, seizing the patrol vehicle from Peter, and driving off. Peter overhearing the location where they plan to meet, got all units on duty to stage where the meeting location would be happening, while Trooper Jefferson sneaked into the location to get any sight on Captain Kyleson or The Cleaner. While moving in, Trooper Jefferson spotted both Miss Murtle and Captain Kyleson leaving while a radio callout from Senior Trooper Bryce Carpenter stated that he was injured at the location where they met. Jefferson moved in to help the hurt trooper, while instructing units to move in on the vehicle leaving with the serial killer. After tending to the trooper, Trooper Jefferson arrived at the Sandy Shores Police Station where The Cleaner was negotiating with Master Trooper Travis Crawford for the safe release of Captain Kyleson, who was drowning in bleach at the hands of The Cleaner. After failed negotiations, Trooper Crawford and Trooper Jefferson opened fire, downing The Cleaner and rescuing the Captain.
In early January 2021, Peter had met a new boyfriend, counselor Liam Mattox. Liam was a new lawyer in San Andreas and met Peter while on a cell call. Peter passed an egg to Liam, and Liam passed the egg back the next time he saw Peter. They continued this game until Liam encouraged Peter to take a day off work and go on a date in Paleto Bay. After a successful date, Peter and Liam began living together in Peter's Paleto Bay house.
Next month, in February 2021, Peter became the new target of a new serial killer: The Raven. The Raven hurt and tried to kill anyone that she believed that was corrupt. Her name was Aliyah Baset. Aliyah began calling Peter from a hidden number, stalking both Peter and Liam in her efforts to hurt Peter. Peter, who loved Liam, was scared of him getting hurt. More importantly, he was scared of Liam never seeing Peter the same. Peter went on the offensive, telling Liam to stay away from him as he went to find The Raven. This hunt ended after three days when The Cleaner escaped from prison and was rumored to be with The Raven. With the tension of the past couple of the days, the two decided to take a day off work. While visiting Andre Oxberg, a friend of the couple who was grieving, at the morgue, the couple's car was stolen. Both decided to walk to the impound yard, where they were confronted by The Raven and The Cleaner. Caught off guard, Peter and Liam were ziptied and thrown in the back of a vehicle. Both were driven to the power plant on the east side of San Andreas where Liam made a desperate ping to the police. The police started flooding in, but it was too late. Peter was injected by The Raven and fell to the ground and Liam was stabbed by The Cleaner, bleach poured into the wound before both made a deperate escape from the scene. After making a full recovery, Liam and Peter took a seven month vacation to San Fransico to visit Liam's family and spend some quality time together.
Major Events [Season 2][]
Returning to San Andreas from their vacation, Liam and Peter opened a company by the name of "Jefferson-Mattox", a rental company for the citizens of Los Santos. Peter rejoined the ranks of the San Andreas State Police Department while Liam went back to being a lawyer in San Andreas. For a couple of months, each were busy, only really talking about the business. Peter's main priority became his job as he slowly ignored his own mental health and rarely took a break, which took a toll on his relationship with Liam. Liam wasn't the only one to take notice as Lieutenant Seth Kyleson and Chief Justice Byron Brutahl-Kyleson. who had recently adopted Peter, also began to worry for Peter's decreasing mental health. Peter continued to deny his need for help and further isolated himself from Liam, who eventually, ended things between him and Peter. Seth forced Peter to seek help at Twin Rivers, a mental hospital out of state since Peter refused treatment from a therapist in San Andreas. Suspended from his duties, Peter relunctenly agreed to take an extended stay at Twin Rivers where he received the help he needed.
When Peter returned to San Andreas, Peter met a new trooper on the force from Vice City: Maximilian von Karma. Maxilmilian von Karma was a Senior Trooper in the San Andreas State Police and also worked in the State Attorney's Office when Peter returned. Ready to take the next step in his life, Peter, alongside help from his dads, began to flirt with Maximilian. Maxmilian returned, offering a Peter with a date after the very important case he was working on: Carter, Artruis, Rittler, Rivers v. The San Andreas State Police (Case Number: CV-20210625-A). This case proved to become important case law in San Andreas not due to the case itself, but the ruling in the appeal, which stated that law enforcement could raid and enter any state owned property without cause or warrant. While the original case ruled against Peter and the state, Maximilian still took him on a date which started their relationship.
However, their relationship would quickly be tested. Peter after representing the state in The State of San Andreas v. Elzani Michaels (Case Number: CR-20210719-A), got cocky and mouthed off to Chico Mae, a known killer in San Andreas. Chico Mae retaliated, firing a single gun shot, point-blank, into Peter's skull. Peter was in a coma for over two weeks until he eventually woke up in a dazed and confused state, unable to walk. Throughout the entire month healing process, while Peter was in a wheelchair, Maximilian was there to help him every step of the way until Peter was up and walking again. By then, Peter was a deputy with the Los Santos Sheriff's Office. Maximilian told Peter that he was moving back to Vice City. While heartbroken, Peter was happy to see him go where he was loved and apperciated, seeing Maximilian pin on the rank of Lieutenant. Peter flew to Vice City to help the city attorney's office with a case that mirrored the famous "Turtle Soup Case" (The State of San Andreas v. Tucky, Tucky, Schwartz), and while there, Peter was offered the position of Sergeant in the detective's office by the Chief of Police. Having to face a difficult decision between his family in San Andreas and his partner in Vice City, Peter made the decision to move to Vice City. In October of 2021, Peter and Maximilian got married and continued their work in the department.
