Preston Jackson is the third police character played by ArcticAndre on TwitchRP. Preston was a former transfer from Florida, after spending years as a correctional officer, deputy, and trooper. Preston died while serving a life sentence in a Florida State Prison.
History[]
Preston was born to Crystal and John Jackson on May 4th, 1990 in Jacksonville, Florida. He grew up the youngest in a relativity poor family, living in the center of Jacksonville with his brothers Tom and Seth. His mother was a stripper at one of the strange bars downtown where she could only work once a week while his father was a door-to-door vacuum salesman. When Preston was 8, he was no longer the youngest in the family, as Ashley was born into the Jackson family. Except it wasn't John's child, it was Joe Sharky's. Crystal had been cheating on John, forcing him to pack up his stuff and abandon his family as he searched for another stripper wife in Miami. The Jackson family was torn up and a mess, living off the income of a stripper for support the family of four, with divorce attorney taking whatever excess money the family have while Joe fled back to San Andreas to avoid the child support payments for Ashley.
Crystal developed a heavy drinking problem as she tried to support a family of four all on her own, in addition to the divorce and her rather now empty love life made the money set aside for food turn into alcohol for herself. However, this would come back to bite her. On April 20th, 2001, Crystal Jackson on her way to the grocery store with Ashley by her side, lost control of the wheel and crashed the car into oncoming traffic, ending Crystal's and Ashley's life. The police report showed that Crystal's BAC level was .132.
Suddenly, Tom, Seth, and Preston on their own in the middle of Jacksonville. Tom, who recently turned 18, took care of Seth and Preston by himself, looking for jobs, but ultimately failing. Instead, he worked for the local street gang to get food for his family and a tiny bit of money for a studio apartment. This was life for Preston, going to school and heading back to a tiny apartment that is falling apart, and watching his eldest brother slave away for the street gang he couldn't escape. So it came naturally to Preston to get the hell out of there when he could. The Florida Department of Corrections became his first escape to start his new life and never looking back.
His life in law enforcement began. He worked in corrections, as a sheriff, as a trooper. He surrounded himself with new friends and submerged himself into this new environment. He went to addition trainings, met with different officers, and went to conventions. One of these conventions was hosted in San Andreas where he met Sergeant Seth Kyleson of the Los Santos Police. They really hit it off due to their different experiences creating a very unique bond between. They exchanged numbers and when work got too much, they were each other's first phone call. To put each other at ease a bit. While working in the Hillsborough's Sheriff Department, Chief Kyleson called Corporal Jackson asking him to take a temporary duty as Deputy Chief of Police in Los Santos, until a new one could be appointed in the next election cycle. Seth lost his patrol partner, best friend, and deputy chief in a gunfight in the line of duty. He needed Preston now more than ever. When the next election cycle came and gone, Seth extended an invitation back if Preston ever needed it.
Experience in Law Enforcement[]
At 18, Preston Jackson began his service in the Florida Department of Corrections, where he became a Corrections Sergeant. He worked closely with not only his fellow Correctional Officers, but the inmates as well to improve everyone's experiences, bringing the monthly riots down by 73%. He served there for six years before he was called upon by Hillsborough's Sheriff Department and Preston took and it ran.
Preston served in the Hillsborough's Sheriff Department where he served as a District 3 Corporal overseeing daily patrol operations of the department in the field. During this time, he responded to a incident in the Citrus Park, where a protest against Carole Baskin created a disruption in the middle of the city. Preston Jackson commanded both deputies and Florida Highway Patrol troopers to take control of the situation. The Major of Trooper C commanded Corporal Jackson, and offered him a position in his troop as Trooper First Class.
Starting January 2021, Trooper First Class Preston Jackson began his journey in the Florida Highway Patrol where he worked very hard and was quickly promoted to the rank of Trooper First Class. He continued his service until June 2021, where he received a suspension notice for running over an alligator with a patrol vehicle. This included a one month suspension with a rank demotion, which Preston openly protested on Facebook about.
Preston Jackson came to the San Andreas State Police Department as a temporary transfer in July of 2021, his bar certification from the state of Florida, field training status, and his SWAT certification following him as skills the department would find useful in his time in the department.

Life in San Andreas[]
Preston was on administrative leave after he became a prime suspect in the murder of Jessica Richards, Preston's ex wife. A warrant was being written for his arrest, and when word got to him about this arrest, Preston fled to San Andreas, forging transfer paperwork to the San Andreas State Police from the Florida Highway Patrol. Preston successfully landed in San Andreas and met up with his old buddy: Lieutenant Seth Kyleson. Seth, unaware of the active warrant in the state of Florida, gave Senior Trooper Preston Jackson a warm welcome to the San Andreas State Police.
Preston worked in the San Andreas State Police for about a month, during that time he had many stories of Florida to tell and he became a hot name in the State of San Andreas, to the point where the media eventually got word of the new "Florida Cop" making everyone in the state laugh. However, what tipped off Florida Highway Patrol Bureau of Criminal Investigations and Intelligence was a match in the system to Preston Jackson on a court docket in San Andreas. However, Preston wasn't the defendant, rather representing the State of San Andreas as the plaintiff in The State of San Andreas v. Shimmy Bot, Ralph McDoogen (Case Number: CR-20210810-A) alongside Senior Deputy Sydeny Bauer. This shocked F.H.P.B.C.I.I, especially Lieutenant John Good when he got the news. Not wanting to lose him again, Lieutenant John Good contacted Lieutenant Seth Kyleson to set up an operation to apprehend Preston. Major Robby Banks and Sergeant John MacTavish were sent to stop Preston before he got too far in his court career. That's why they choose to pick the one spot they didn't think he would fight: the courthouse.
Major Banks and Sergeant MacTavish landed and met Lieutenant Kyleson. They were supplied with hand guns, tasers, and a vehicle. They waited outside the courthouse until court was dismissed as Lieutenant Kyleson ordered, and they would catch Preston on his way out. Unfortunately, Major Banks' patience ran thin and he rushed in as the verdict was announced. Sergeant MacTavish followed and order Trooper Jackson to surrender. Lieutenant Kyleson, caught off guard, told Preston he was terminated from the San Andreas State Police for forged documents, impersonation of a police officer, and several offenses he had an active warrant for in the state of Florida. Preston responded by punching Seth in the face. Major Banks, trigger happy as always, opened fire on Preston, downing him. Major Banks was arrested by Deputy Paul Forester and Senior Deputy Sydney Bauer.
Preston Jackson was sent back to Florida after receving medical attention from Pillbox Hospital with Sergeant MacTavish. Major Banks, however, was arrested and put on trial for unlawful Aggravated Assault in the State of San Andreas in the famous case: The San Andreas State Police v. The Florida Highway Patrol (Case Number: CR-20210821-A). While overseeing Chief Justice Byron Bruthal-Kyleson ruled in favor of Major Banks, he referred to case to Colonel Gene Spaulding of the Florida Highway Patrol and the Attorney General of Florida. Major Banks was terminiated from his position in the Florida Highway Patrol, but was not charged criminally.
The Honorable Chief Justice Ronald Ficarrotta of the 13th Judicial Circuit Court Of Florida found former Trooper First Class Preston Jackson guilty of First Degree Murder and Contempt of Court, and he faces a life sentence in a Florida State Prison without the possibility of parole. Preston Jackson was defended in court by Seth Kyleson.
On October 12, 2022 at 9:23 AM, former Trooper Jackson was declared dead by Florida State Prison doctors after a prison riot resulted in Preston received a serve head wound from a dislodged telephone box.
